SBI PO photo and signature size

SBI PO uses the same four-document upload as the rest of the banking sector, and applies it strictly. The declaration is where applications are lost: it is the only one of the four where how you wrote it matters as much as how large the file is.

Check your own notification first. SBI publishes these four sizes consistently and they match the IBPS set. The one figure that varies between write-ups is the thumb impression, given as 240 x 240 almost everywhere but occasionally as preferred rather than required. Treat 240 x 240 as the target and the KB range as the hard rule.

What resizing will not fix

SBI states that the declaration must be handwritten by the candidate in English and must not be in capital letters, and that a typed or photocopied declaration is rejected. It also asks for the photograph to be recent and against a light background. Those are judgements a person makes at verification, not checks a file passes.

Already tried, and it was refused?

A portal almost never says which rule you broke. Drop the file you tried to upload into the rejection checker and it reports on each rule separately — format, pixel size, the maximum, the minimum and the DPI — so you fix the one that is actually wrong instead of guessing. It reads the file and changes nothing.

Have the notification in front of you?

Then you do not need the figures above at all. Copy the upload instructions straight out of it and paste them into the box on the home page — it reads the pixel sizes, the KB range and the DPI out of the text and sets the tools to exactly what your notification says. That is always right, even when a published figure has gone stale.

  • If a minimum KB is given, set it too — a clean photograph often compresses below it, and the tool pads the file to reach it without touching the picture.
