Does changing DPI change how the picture looks?
No. DPI is a number stored in the file header that says how large the picture should print. The pixels are untouched. Forms that ask for "200 DPI" are reading that header, which is exactly what this changes.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device. Your file never leaves it, and we never see or store it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
