About Thumb Impression Resizer
Banking applications and NTA exams ask for a thumb impression as a separate upload, with its own size limits that are not the same as the photograph. A thumb impression photographed on paper arrives grey and shadowed, so this whitens the paper and darkens the ink first, then sets the size.
Good to know
- Press the thumb on a stamp pad, then onto plain white paper. A smudged impression stays smudged after any amount of cleaning.
- IBPS usually asks for the LEFT thumb. Check which one your notification names before you scan anything.
- The size limits for the thumb impression differ from those for the photograph — read them separately.

Left thumb or right?
Banking applications commonly specify the left thumb. Your notification will say; do not assume.
My impression looks grey and faint.
That is the paper showing through. The cleaning step whitens it, but start from a firm impression on white paper in good light for the best result.
What size should it be?
It varies by exam and is not the same as the photograph. Take the numbers from your notification.
Can I use the signature tool instead?
It is the same engine with different defaults, so it would work. This one starts at sizes closer to what thumb impressions are usually asked for.
