SBI Clerk photo and signature size

SBI Clerk asks for four uploads with four different size rules, and the application form gives you one attempt at each before it starts complaining. Getting all four right before you begin is far less painful than fixing them inside the portal.

Check your own notification first. SBI Clerk and SBI PO are quoted at identical sizes, and so is the IBPS set. Where a site gives you something different for Clerk specifically, it is far more likely to be an error than a real difference — but the notification is still the thing to check, because the bank can change it between cycles.

What resizing will not fix

The rule that fails most Clerk applications is not a size at all: the declaration must be handwritten in English in running hand, and capital letters are rejected outright. Write it out again rather than trying to fix it in an editor.

Already tried, and it was refused?

A portal almost never says which rule you broke. Drop the file you tried to upload into the rejection checker and it reports on each rule separately — format, pixel size, the maximum, the minimum and the DPI — so you fix the one that is actually wrong instead of guessing. It reads the file and changes nothing.

Have the notification in front of you?

Then you do not need the figures above at all. Copy the upload instructions straight out of it and paste them into the box on the home page — it reads the pixel sizes, the KB range and the DPI out of the text and sets the tools to exactly what your notification says. That is always right, even when a published figure has gone stale.

  • If a minimum KB is given, set it too — a clean photograph often compresses below it, and the tool pads the file to reach it without touching the picture.

Are the SBI Clerk and SBI PO sizes the same?

Every source checked gives the same four sizes for both. Confirm against your own notification anyway, since the bank sets these per cycle.

What if my thumb impression is smudged?

Take it again. Cleaning or whitening the paper raises contrast but cannot separate a smudge back into a ridge pattern, and a smudged impression is a problem at verification rather than at upload.
