About Base64 Encode & Decode
Base64 turns arbitrary text into a limited set of safe characters so it can travel through systems that would otherwise mangle it, configuration files, email headers, API tokens. It is an encoding, not encryption, and anybody can reverse it instantly.
Good to know
- Base64 is not security. It hides nothing, because decoding needs no key.

Why is the result longer?
Because it represents data using a restricted alphabet, which costs roughly 33% extra length.
