About Watermark Image
If a picture is going somewhere public, a watermark is the simplest deterrent against casual reuse: your name or site written across the image so it cannot be quietly passed off as work by somebody else. You choose the text, and it is drawn into the pixels rather than stored separately.
Good to know
- Across the middle is harder to crop away than a corner, though it is also more intrusive.
- A watermark discourages casual copying. It is not protection against somebody determined to remove it.
- Keep the original unwatermarked file, because the mark cannot be taken off afterwards.
Questions
Can the watermark be removed?
Not cleanly. It becomes part of the image. Someone could crop or paint over it, which is why placement matters.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
This tool stamps text. For an image watermark, overlay it in an editor.
Will it lower the picture quality?
Only by the single re-encode when saving. The unmarked areas look the same as before.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Yes. Add several and the same text is applied to each, returned as a ZIP.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device. Your file never leaves it, and we never see or store it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark on your files. The site is paid for by ads.
