About Text to PDF
Plain text pasted into a word processor and exported produces a PDF with whatever margins and fonts that program happened to default to. This goes straight from text to a tidy PDF with sensible margins and proper wrapping, which is quicker when the content is all that matters.
Good to know
- Long lines wrap automatically, so nothing runs off the edge of the page.
- The text stays real text, so it can be selected, searched and copied from the PDF.
- Formatting such as bold and headings is not carried over; this is plain text.
Questions
Can I use bold or headings?
No. The output is plain text laid out cleanly. Use a word processor if you need formatting.
Will the text be searchable?
Yes, because it is stored as real text rather than as an image.
What page size is used?
A standard size with normal margins. Change PDF Page Size if you need something specific.
Is there a length limit?
Long text simply produces more pages.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device. Your file never leaves it, and we never see or store it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark on your files. The site is paid for by ads.
