SVG to PNG Free
Convert SVG pictures to PNG at their original size. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so the file is larger than the same picture as JPG.
How to use it
- Choose one or more images, or drag them in.
- Set the options on the right. The result updates as you change them.
- Check the result, then press Download.
About SVG to PNG
An SVG is a set of drawing instructions rather than a grid of pixels, which is why it stays razor sharp at any size, and why software that expects an image file often cannot open it at all. Rendering it to PNG produces a real pixel image, with transparency preserved, that works anywhere.
Good to know
- Once rendered, the result is fixed at that pixel size and no longer scales without blurring.
- Render larger than you think you need. Scaling a PNG up afterwards cannot recover the sharpness the SVG had.
- Transparent areas in the SVG stay transparent in the PNG.
Questions
What size should I render at?
At least twice the size it will be displayed, so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens.
Do I lose the ability to scale?
Yes. That is the fundamental trade: SVG scales infinitely, PNG does not. Keep the SVG file.
Why not just use the SVG?
Browsers handle SVG well, but many upload forms, office programs and older tools do not accept it.
Does transparency survive?
Yes. PNG supports it, so a logo with no background stays that way.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device. Your file never leaves it, and we never see or store it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark on your files. The site is paid for by ads.
