About Add Border to Image
A border does two useful things: it separates a picture from a white page so the edges are visible, and it gives a photo a finished look for a post or a print. Choose the thickness and the colour, and the frame is added outside the existing image.
Good to know
- The border adds to the overall dimensions, so a 200x200 image with a 10 pixel border becomes 220x220.
- If a form demands an exact size, add the border first and then resize, or the border will push you over.
- A white border on a white background is invisible. Pick a colour that contrasts with where it will sit.
Questions
Does the border cover part of my picture?
No. It is added around the outside, so nothing is hidden.
Can I have a different thickness on each side?
Not here. The same thickness is applied all round.
What format do I get back?
The same kind of file you put in, with the frame drawn into the image.
Can I add a border to several photos?
Yes. Add them together and each receives the same frame.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using your own device. Your file never leaves it, and we never see or store it. You can even disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark on your files. The site is paid for by ads.
